Yes, even in Texas it is getting colder. Well, not too cold. Working on some different directions to lead us into the new year. Moving forward, so as to keep from moving back. I’ll be posting a few things up from a few events in the past couple weeks, but back to work in getting some new stuff for your eyes to look upon.
But, today just going to Fun Fun Fun Fest to do some painting. It’s about a mile down the road.
My buddy Cody came by today. We haven’t seen each other in a bit, but we talked about art and he called out the patterns in my art and said, “You were in your space when you were making these marks.” And he pointed at the repetition in some of my marks and I realized that, yes, those are the moments when I am in my place . These characters and patterns don’t really come planned. They just happen. I gave Cody this drawing. He gave me loads of insight.

All this collaboration over at Crummy House has me on a new direction in my art. I love it. It’s like an automatic redirection of my art, exposing new methods and new techniques. Here are a couple new in process works. Large photocopies that I’ve adjusted, then printed, then painted on top.
